This past weekend, our very own Kaydence Tate represented the Sandhills region at the Boys & Girls Clubs Youth of the Year competition in Charlotte. While she did not advance to the finals, Kaydence made us proud with her grace, determination, and incredible spirit throughout the event.

The competition was an enriching experience for Kaydence as she had the chance to meet fellow Youth of the Year honorees from across North and South Carolina. Together, they shared stories, built connections, and celebrated the collective impact of Boys & Girls Clubs on their lives.

Kaydence also gained valuable experience through the interview and judging process—skills that will serve her well as she continues to grow into a confident leader. We hope to see her competing again next year, ready to inspire and shine even brighter!

To Kaydence, we want to say: thank you for representing the Boys & Girls Club of the Sandhills with such poise and passion. You remind us all of the importance of striving for excellence while staying true to ourselves.

Your journey inspires everyone in our community, and we can’t wait to see what you’ll achieve next. Keep reaching for the stars, Kaydence!
