We serve youth from kindergarten through 12th grade, providing a powerful and supportive environment where every child believes in their ability to succeed. We empower them to reach their full potential by focusing on our three priority outcomes:
Good Character & Citizenship
We guide young people to become engaged, responsible, and caring citizens. By promoting leadership opportunities, service projects, and positive role modeling, we empower them to make ethical decisions and contribute meaningfully to their communities.
Academic Success
We help youth stay on track to graduate from high school on time, equipped with the skills, motivation, and support they need to pursue college, trade school, military service, or career opportunities. Through homework help, tutoring, enrichment activities, and mentorship, we cultivate a lifelong love of learning.
Healthy Lifestyles
We encourage youth to make positive choices that nurture their physical, mental, and emotional well-being. From daily physical activity and nutritious meals to mental health support and substance abuse prevention, we instill habits that promote long-term health and resilience.
The Boys & Girls Club of the Sandhills provides high-impact after-school and summer programming that supports the overall development of youth across Moore County, North Carolina.
We help young people build meaningful relationships with caring mentors and peers while offering academic enrichment, homework help, and engaging opportunities to explore their passions.

Our History
The Boys & Girls Club of the Sandhills has been a cornerstone of youth development in Moore County, North Carolina, for over 25 years. Established as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in 1997, the organization officially opened its doors in 1999. Since then, it has served more than 12,000 children and teens across the region. We thrive solely on the generosity of individual donors, businesses, and community partners whose support makes it possible for us to provide life-changing programs and a safe, nurturing environment for the youth who need us most.
With multiple club locations—including units in Southern Pines and Pinehurst and Sandhills Community College, the Boys & Girls Club of the Sandhills provides a safe, supportive environment for youth aged 6 to 18. These clubs offer a variety of programs designed to promote academic success, character and leadership development, and healthy lifestyles. Activities range from homework assistance and tutoring to sports, arts, and wellness programs.
